ROCpinions is a market research firm located in Penfield, just outside of Rochester, NY. Since we first opened our doors in 1985, we’ve been helping businesses learn more about the opinions of people who use their products and services. We do this through survey research and in-person interviews.

We support businesses from all over the country. Many of our studies involve products that you can buy in the grocery store.

The ROCpinions panel are people who have agreed to give us their opinions by participating in surveys in the form of in-person interviews and other means. Panel members are matched with surveys and invited to complete an interview in our beautiful, casual interview facility in Penfield, NY.

If you don’t want to participate in a specific interview but want to stay on the panel for future ones, then all you need do is click the NOT INTERESTED button on that specific email invitation. Passing on an interview opportunity will not hurt your chances of being selected for future interviews.

No. Our panel management software uses sophisticated anti-duplication technology. If fraud is detected (for example, the same individual signing up for the panel using multiple profiles or email addresses) that individual will be removed from the ROCpinions panel permanently.

ROCpinions conducts interviews because businesses are interested in the opinions of the people who use their products and services. The more they know about what customers think, the easier it is for them to improve what they supply. The business customers we work with are large national brands whose products you know and use every day.

Interviews are held in our beautiful, casual Penfield, NY interview facility. Each interview is different because each of our projects has custom goals. But usually, you will have a one-on-one conversation with an interviewer about products, services, or new ideas. Sometimes you might even get a product sample to taste.

Our ROCpinions members often tell us their interviews are fun and they enjoy the exchange of information.

Interviews are offered at a variety of times in the morning, afternoon and early evening. You will always have the opportunity to self-schedule your interview for a day and time that works best for you.

It depends, because each project is different. Many interviews last one hour, but some are shorter and others longer. You will always be told how long a specific interview takes before you agree to the interview.

At our beautiful, casual interview facility located at 2025 Penfield Road, Penfield, NY 14526.

Driving: We are less than four miles from the Linden Ave exit off 490. Plenty of free parking is available.

Public Transport: We are a safe 5-minute walk from the RTS Penfield Park & Ride bus stop (50 Penfield/Fairport Suburban).

We send out interview invitations on a regular basis but cannot say when any member will receive an invitation. This is because each of our projects has custom goals. To increase your chances of selection, complete as much detail in your profile survey as possible.

At this time we are only conducting in-person interviews in our beautiful, casual Penfield, NY interview facility.

Every project is different. The payment is based on how long the interview lasts and what you will be doing. But in general, payments are at least $50. You will always be provided with full payment details before you agree to the interview.

In most cases, payment is in the form of a virtual VISA gift card paid within 24 hours after completing your interview. You will always be provided with full payment details before you agree to the interview.

No, we are entirely cashless.

ROCpinions conducts survey research on various topics including consumer products and services, healthcare, and new ideas. The business customers we work with are large national brands whose products you know and use every day. Information we collect remains confidential and your personal information, such as your name or email address, is not associated with your answers. ROCpinions members can opt out of a survey or the panel at any time.

NO! We do not sell the personal information of our members to other companies, and we will NEVER try to sell you any product or service. In fact, we don’t sell anything to consumers, only businesses.

Generally, personal information is used: (1) to tailor interview opportunities to you; and (2) to administer and manage incentive payments that are earned by your participation in interviews.
